Aww thanks, so glad I could inspire you!! <3
The kind of spikes I used get screwed in so you wouldn’t be able to put them on the heel part of the shoe. They do, however, make low profile spikes like THESE you can iron on, it says they are “Great to add some studs and spikes to your shoes/high heels”. I’ve never tried them but they sound good to me.I’m really rough on shoes so if I just used glue/iron on ones they would definitely come off which is why I personal like to use the ones that screw in, those suckers aren’t going anywhere!
Hope that helps a little

I am currently obsessed with spiked heels. I’ve been dying for a pair for far too long…so I decided to DIY a pair for myself…and give you ladies a step by step breakdown so you can make a pair too!

Supplies Needed:

A Pair of Sexy Heels or Wedges
Spikes - in a variety of sizes
(the Etsy store I bought my spikes from: CrushCrush)
Screwdriver
Awl
(to poke holes in the shoes - you can buy one for around $5 at a hardware store like Home Depot)
Chalk or Charcoal Pencil
(to mark where you want the spikes to go)
Padded Shoe Inserts or Thick Scrap Fabric
(to cover the exposed screw heads on the inside of the shoes)
Glue
(any fabric glue will work)

A lot of things have changed in my life these past few months. I’ve endured more change in these few months than I have in the past few years. Two of the major changes being: losing love after 4 years together and moving into a new place. It’s been quite the roller coaster of emotions but I’m not ready to get off of this crazy ride…I’m just getting started!
So I have decided to deem this month as the month of “I’ve always wanted to”
There are so many things that I have wanted to do but haven’t and well this month I’m going to do some of them finally! What better time than right now!
So what has this girl “always wanted to do”?
#1.) Start a blog!
I’ve been flirting with this idea for far to long. I’ve always wanted a place to share: my DIY ideas, makeup reviews, fashion, what inspires me, and more! So finally here it is…the blog that’s been in my head for years…and now it’s ready to play!
#2.) Have a fun unique hair color!
Hot Pink, Bubblegum Pink, Lavender, Purple, Turquoise so many choices what’s a girl that can’t make decisions do??….an amazing Tequila Sunrise (my favorite drink of the moment) color. It’s this beautiful peachy pink color…and I couldn’t be happier! I’ve always wanted a fun hair color and have looked up to girls with the “balls” to rock a bold color on their tresses for as long as I can remember. Honestly as a newly single 26 year old girl living in a small town, with male suitor options few and far between, I was nervous about how it would affect my dating life. I was afraid that it would make it harder to meet guys, because in my small town in Florida everyone is pretty “normal” (a word I’m not fond of) and most guys here don’t like girls that are “different”…sadly. However, much to my surprise guys seem to really like it and if I was to be completely honest I’m getting more attention from the male species than ever before. Apparently guys like fun hair colors after all…even in this tiny fashionless town.
